We went to Noble Park on Saturday with a 0-3 record, but felt confident, if we brought the same pressure and attack on the ball that we did against Balwyn, it would hold us in good stead.
Noble Park were 3-0 and playing them at the bullring was a tough ask.
We started extremely well, kicking with a breeze. Our attack on the ball and man in the first 10 minutes set the tone.
Our pace was evident from the start, with Liam Taylor, Darcy Harris, Jake Moss and Dylan Spurrell showing fantastic pace around the contest.
Jack Whelan, Aaron Fenton, Jayden van Unen, Billy Schilling and Gary Conyers also winning the ball around the ground.
Michael Locco was also marking or spoiling everything that was coming his way.
By half time, we were up by 3 goals and at 3 qtr time this was extended to 30 points.
Some nervous moments in the last quarter with Noble Park kicking the first three goal inside 10 minutes, but the boys steadied to run out winners by 16 points.
First win ever at Noble Park.
Best Players: Locco, van Unen, Whelan, Fenton, Conyers, Schilling.
Best Players: D. Wood, M. Griffiths, M. Sproles, T. Falzon, J. Cullen-Hall
ROUND 4 vs Noble park – MATCH REPORT
Welcome to Round 4 – 2019
We took on Noble Park in Round 4 at the “Bull Ring” – it was a good day for Footy.
The boys were up and about ready to go, for what was a really important game for us.
We had about 6 players out to injury or unavailable this week, which gave others the opportunity.
We welcomed Dan Buchannan in for his first game at North Ringwood.
Our First half was very good, we were unlucky not to get more reward on the scoreboard. Noble were a very physical team, so our boys were in for the fight in the first half – we went in to Half time one point down, but still felt like we had the momentum.
Murfett and Lyall were working hard in the middle, Shield was also making a good impact, Churchy was giving us some good run and finished with 2 really good goals.
Papp was our best player for the day reading the ball well and give us great rebound off Half back.
Unfortunately, after halftime we hardly fired a shot and Noble ended up running over the top of us which was disappointing to say the least.
We have some things to review now, in order to be a good team consistently.
We will hit the track hard looking to bounce back quickly this week.
Final score: NRFC 2.4.16 Noble Park 7-13-55

Best Players: M. Gilmore, J. van Unen, V. Chelsea, M. Timms, N. Wilson
