To say it’s been a different year so far is an understatement.
When COVID-19 hit earlier in the year, I don’t believe anyone understood the impact it would have on everyone. Face masks, face shields, hand sanitizer, social distancing, curfew, 5km limit, 1 person limit shopping, 2hrs exercise, working from home, no local sports, no pubs, cafes or restaurants open are all words that we are familiar with.
The North Ringwood Football Club is a community club. We have a wonderful family, made up of passionate volunteers, supporters, sponsors, life members, players and a committee that is committed to strive for the best for our club.
Not to mention the new ground, changerooms and lights which will come into play in 2021. Even though our clubrooms aren’t massive, when packed, there is no better atmosphere anywhere.
The reason for this post, is it’s been a taxing year so far for all. Not playing football has impacted a lot of people, from players to supporters and everyone in betweenEven through we haven’t played this year, which was confirmed earlier in the year, the generosity of some of our sponsors and supporters have been nothing short of amazing.
As a football club, we have never asked for anything in 2020, as we understand people and businesses are doing it tough, and it wouldn’t be fair to ask for money at this time. We have had people pay their sponsorships, Sainters Club, memberships and general donations knowing that season 2020 would not go ahead. They paid regardless.
These people will be recognised later in the year.
This money has allowed us to clear outstanding debts and puts us in a fantastic position moving forward for 2021 and beyond, We are extremely bullish with our men’s and woman’s list heading into 2021, along with the crop of under 19’s coming through. The vets will be back stronger than ever too.
Thankyou to everyone in the North Ringwood Football Club community for your ongoing support.
