Saints President Scott Eade was announced as the newest North Ringwood Football Club Life Member at Presentation Night, September 15 at the Grand Hotel in Warrandyte.
Scott (pictured centre above) has been involved with NRFC for over 20 years. He was a member of our inaugural Veterans side in 2000, in which he played for many years, and has been a Club sponsor since 2000.
He has been on the Committee for 7 years, the past 3 as President.
Scott founded our Coterie Group, the “Sainters Club” in 2011 with just 15 members. It now has over 80 members which is a fantastic effort. As former President and Treasurer, Maurice Larsen says he can, without doubt, vouch for the importance and value that this group has been to NRFC as they have been such an integral part of the Club’s income over this period.
Scott has always held the best interests of our Club at heart and continually works to build and improve the Club’s future and it’s important alliances with Sponsors and the like.
In particular, Scott’s last 7 years of service to the North Ringwood Football Club has shown dedication, hard work and commitment to the Club and has seen the Club grow in strength and maintain its position in Division One Football and also in the North Ringwood Community generally. His work between the club and the EFL has been outstanding. He has successfully familiarized himself with the ever-changing rules and regulations pertaining to EFL clubs, such information being vital to the successful running of our Club.
Scott does a huge amount of work for our Club which is not seen by many, such as Stacking the fridges every week to ensure we have a nice cold drink when we need it. Being a perfectionist, Scott ensures that anyone helping him stack the fridges puts the labels to the front so the product is displayed correctly. Scott loves to have OUR Clubrooms looking warm and inviting to everyone.
Maurie said that the support given to him throughout his Presidency by Scott was nothing but the best and he appreciates not only the support through that time, but also the way he has sustained the club in the elite Division One since. And with Moyley back on board, 2018 has some great opportunities ahead for us.
Scott is the tenth NRFC President to become a Life Member of the Club, and the 59th overall.
